Following another successful Neighbourhood Night earlier this month, we've new dates in Islington, Hackney and Waltham Forest for your calendar. You can attend whichever Neighbourhood Night is most convenient for you.

Neighbourhood Nights are a great way to meet our staff face-to-face and discuss what is important to you. Free hot food is provided, and there are fun activities to keep children entertained.

Islington Council is running a free workshop with hands-on activities and practical tips to help you get energy efficient and save money on bills.

You'll need to register to attend the workshop and it takes place from 10am - 2pm on Tuesday, 29 October at the Repairs Training Centre, N19 5UN.

Last month, ISHA residents and staff joined a free guided tour of Islington. Led by Ian Stone and starting at our oldest property near Chapel Market, participants learned interesting facts about the area and the origins of social housing.

Attending the walk, ISHA resident Olga said: “I found it very informative, and it was fun for me. I really enjoyed it”.

Together with one of our repairs contractors, we've published video guides on our YouTube channel for performing simple home maintenance, such as bleeding a radiator, resetting a fuse box, and using your thermostat.

In August, 11 ISHA staff participated in a pilot project in Haringey and Camden. Together, they visited 73 households to talk with residents, record their views and note any issues or concerns they had.

Led by Sophie, our Resident Involvement Lead, we'll conduct more Neighbourhood Knocks in the coming year.

We exist to provide affordable and safe homes where people can flourish. We do this by involving our residents in our work and listening to the people and communities we work for.

To help us learn more about delivering customer-led services, Sophie and two ISHA residents attended the Tpas Scrutiny Conference as part of National Involvement Week (14 - 18 October). 

Due to a fraud committed by a contractor and three members of staff, the Regulator of Social Housing has changed ISHA's governance rating for ISHA from G1 and G2.

To our residents, we are very sorry the fraud happened, and we have been in contact with affected residents. We have reported the contractor and the staff to the police, and the staff involved no longer work for us. We have strengthened our governance and hope to regain our G1 rating at the following regulatory review. 

We've published ISHA's 2023-24 financial statements for the year ending 31 March 2024 (PDF) on our website. The statements include information about ISHA, headline figures, an operational review, and more.

The statements also show our performance against that financial year's Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs).

ISHA residents, staff and board members attended our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September. At the event, our Chair set out our continued priorities for our residents, we said goodbye to long-standing board member Yasmin Khan, and we presented our 2023-24 financial statements (PDF).
