July 2025
Dear
Welcome to your July newsletter.
The school summer holidays are upon us. Fun as they can be they can also be a bit tricky, especially if you are working parents. Juggling child care, keeping tabs on the budget and finding enough to keep the
children amused isn't easy.
As a working mum myself I know just what it can be like. It's such a bonus if you can tap into free or low cost activities through the summer, so you can have fun and get out and about. The team have compiled some ideas that might help or inspire you to find out other things that are going on in your area or elsewhere. And of course we're running our own photo competition which can be a fun activity throughout the summer. 'My home' is the theme - which children as well as adults can enter.
There's a chance to win a prize too!
We also want you to stay safe this summer. Please take a moment to read our article about e-bikes and e-scooters parked in communal spaces and the potential dangers these pose.
All the articles here are linked to our new look website, which we hope you will take some time to explore. We're pleased with it, but welcome your feedback for further improvements.
On the website you'll also find information about our new fund aimed for estates to organise events that help bring the community together.
And before I sign off, to say we'll be out and about meeting many of you in our Neighbourhood Knocks soon - if we're your way we will have sent you a letter.
Enjoy the summer.
Best wishes
