‘A morning view from my ISHA home’ was captured by Michael Wardle from his flat on Queensbridge Road, Shoreditch.

Our two runner-up prizes go to our younger residents, one a drawing the other a collage.

Neighbourhood Knocks are a key part of our ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and improving, so we can create safer, stronger communities that truly flourish. 

This August and September, 52 colleagues from across ISHA took part. But it's not just about numbers it's also about developing our staff empathy, insight, and appreciation for the resident experience.
Every aspect of the knocks - from the project planning to the staff training - is co-designed with our involved residents.

In August we knocked on 362 properties, followed by another 380 in Islington in September. Read more about our Neighbourhood Knocks.
 

This month we also held the first of our autumn Neighbourhood Nights, when we set up a drop-in locally to you, so you can come to us!  The first on Wednesday (24 September) was at Waltham Forest, and was well attended with around two dozen residents joining us.

Your Residents' Annual Report is on its way! It is a summary of our performance over the last year, with details of our improvement plans for the future. This year's report highlights the work of our involved residents, and their own report on what they have been doing on your behalf. Not to be missed.

Our 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was a little bit different. After the formal business was concluded, there was a small celebration.

The Chair of the Board, Mervyn Jones, was concluding his six-year term, and we took the opportunity to thank him for his dedication to ISHA during that time. Our new Board Chair, Bob Heapy, was present, and he gave Mervyn a token gift of thanks, and the two formalised the handover. We also bid farewell to Heather Topel, who has served her full term on the board, and our new, incoming Chief Executive, Pippa Fleetwood-Read, delivered a speech.  

It's that time of year, temperatures start to drop, heating goes on, windows get closed, making it is all too easy to unwittingly create the conditions that can lead to condensation, damp and mould in your home. But it is easily preventable. Please take some time to look at our website pages on preventing damp and mould, prevention is better than cure!
