We were in Waltham Forest last night for the third in our spring series of Neighbourhood Nights. It was lovely to see some residents who popped by just to say hello at the William Morris Community Centre, just off Hoe Street. Among them Zivah, one of our young residents, who drew us a lovely picture.

Last month, we were in Hackney, at Haggerston Community Centre, where 32 residents came along to connect with staff face-to-face in a relaxed, welcoming space.

The Hackney event was well-received, with one resident saying, "It's great when people come together to talk about their concerns and share ideas. Keep it up." 
 

On Wednesday, 20 May, members of our Leadership Team (LT) visited Liz McKeon House and Penn Street. Both of these schemes provide supported housing to adults over 55 who have additional needs.

The visit was an opportunity for senior management to meet with residents, staff who work at the schemes, and to see for themselves the accommodation.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has launched a new initiative to help cut the cost of travel during the summer holidays. With the new Hopper fare, you can take unlimited trips all day for the cost of a single fare.

The promotion runs on Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday, 25 July to Sunday, 30 August, for bus travel in and around central London, making it a great way to explore much of what London has to offer.

Bringing visitors and Londoners together to celebrate Eid al-Adha, the free festival returns to Trafalgar Square this Saturday from 12 noon to 6pm.

Eid on the Square celebrates London's diverse Muslim communities and features music and art performances alongside activities and, of course, delicious food.
